I know I said that the rest of the week would have Super Bowl ads — but that was before I saw this article, arguing that Cardinals’ quarterback Kurt Warner is an alien.
You really wanted ads? OK — here are the top ten from last year. Maybe I’m not so upset that I missed these.
I’m torn as to what today’s news should be. Is it the whistle blowers at the FDA in the States being targetted by legal investigations while those they blow the whistle on are not? Or is it the brewing general strike in France, where they seem to think that the global recession is entirely the fault of the French government, and will bring business in the country to a standstill in an attempt to convince the government to adopt policies that will worsen the recession.
The blog of the day is from Juan Cole, arguing about free debate in a democracy and Obama’s decision to bomb Pakistan. It can be found here, and is excellent reading.
