What is wrong with the news?

A few things did actually happen today:

newspaper-extraSome guy was sworn in as Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, although members of his party were arrested.

HBOS announced some pretty bad losses.

Microsoft announced some virus bounty.

But what makes front page news in the evening edition of UK papers? A teenager fathering a baby. Is this really news? I am unsure of how it is even newsworthy, never mind being front-page-read-all-about-it material.

Heck, I believe that a more interesting and newsworthy question can be found in asking why this man has a cat on his head.
