This morning coffee was previously recorded

As I am running out of arms and legs that the hotel demands in return for Internet access, I have decided to pre-record this morning coffee. As such, the rules of the Universe require that there is something amazing that will happen between now (the time in which I am writing) and then (the time in which you are reading). I am not ignoring all the strange and wonderful things that have happened over the last 24 hours in Internetland. I am ignorant of them.

To the coffee!

Continuing with the Eurovision-tinged news this week: Georgia is out! Apparently they are not allowed to bash Putin with their song. The article claims that political messages are not allowed in the music at Eurovision.

I ask: What makes something political? Who makes that decision? What happens if the Georgian entry “sanitizes” its song with new lyrics (or changes them all to “la-la-la”) … but the original lyrics are “leaked” on the Internet, and somebody asks viewers to sing along with the “correct” lyrics at home. Is that less political? Will they be allowed to perform?

Actually, I think that’s a great idea. If they do change the lyrics to appear on Eurovision (and I now hope they do): EVERYBODY SING ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL LYRICS!

Ah, smell the freedom of expression!

Apparently Yahoo! goes around with Tom Waits’ Big in Japan stuck in its head. I got the moon. I got the cheese. Yeah.

WARNING: This link leads to a blog. That blog includes a video of a turtle engaging in intimate relations with a shoe. Seriously. You have been warned. Or maybe encouraged.

Finally, your creepy day-old webcomic:
