Technology quarterly

Perhaps I am not as much of an web-based geek as I pretend to be. Perhaps I still exist in the world of print. Perhaps The Economist is delivered to my door every week.

OK – it is. I admit it. I still read printed news. And last weekend, I noticed that The Economist had it’s Technology Quarterly in it. I love Technology Quarterly, and it must be shared:

1. Coffee as a fuel source. Music to my ears. I probably drink enough coffee to power a Hummer. I would never buy a Hummer, though, so I could possibly power a car with excess to share. Yes, that’s not what the article says, but The Economist knows nothing about my coffee habits. Nothing!

2. Buildings that rotate. I am still trying to figure out why. I have my doubts that this will become a common phenomenon. Because … why?

3. Cars that park themselves. They already exist. Soon there will be cars with road rage, I warn you.

4. Machines that see. This one is kind of creepy, actually.
