In response to a school shooting, Germany is moving to ban paintball and laser tag, on the grounds that they “trivialise and encourage violence.” Why stop there? They should also ban video games, television and movies. And books. Possibly even history classes. Anything in which there is the possibility of being exposed to anything that could be construed as violent in a trivial context.
