A chess-related dispute turns into a case of identity theft. This can only happen in the real world. Movies and books are simply not sufficiently bizarre.

In the UK, the Home Office is using very, very bad science in an attempt to gain the ability to keep fingerprints and DNA evidence on people never charged of crimes.
Meanwhile, in South Africa, it just became very dangerous to be an ATM technician.
