You probably will not be surprised that the decision to ban marriage is being appealed, and will likely go to the Supreme Court. What might surprise you is the person doing the appealing. Some of the comments are a bit bewildering — yes, it’s surprising that Bush’s go-to lawyer is in favour of gay marriage. But is it so surprising you have to look for an excuse?
