The Big Bad Blog is leaving you today. Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.
Not permanently of course, but it is time for the move hiatus. This Saturday all our stuff (most of which is already in boxes) will be placed in a van and moved to a new location in London. At this new location, these things will be unpacked. We will commence to call this new place “home”, but may (in time) give it a more interesting code name.
With the move comes sacrifice. Namely that we will be without an internet connection for (approximately) the first two weeks in the new flat.
And no internet connection means no blogging.
This comes at a bad time, as your resident blogger is finding creative sparks in all sorts of places — there is the baby bed story to tell, comments on American legislation that would require backdoors be installed in all encryption programs, the tale of the resurrected laptop, and (doubtlessly) tales from the new flat as we get ourselves installed.
We want to write about all these things.
Also, I suspect that my family will expand by one member during that two week period. I may be forced to overcome technical difficulties to post a little something here, when that happens.
When the Internet comes back into my life, the Big Bad Blog will come back into yours — but expect it to be sporadic for the remainder of October, as your resident blogger grows accustomed to life with a little person.
We expect to be settled back into a routine and a schedule — though perhaps not the same one as at present — in early November.
