It was nearly two years ago when we wrapped shooting on Better Dead than Red, the third film in our low-budget amateur Dirk Brannigan series of films.

Coming in at around twenty minutes, the movie is four times as long as our previous productions. It did not take long to write. It took an afternoon to shoot.

And two years later, post-production is finally finished.

You may be tempted to blame the delay on any number of things: procrastination, laziness, having better things to do with our time than sitting in front of a computer editing an amateur film production for free. But have you ever considered that we were just waiting for the current teen vampire trend to reach its pinnacle — for the screaming teen girls to gain enough age and experience to appreciate a campy vampire flick about communism?

It’s all marketing — that’s our claim, and we’re sticking to it.
