The morning coffee and the unsponsored blog
My fellow bloggers: The FTC has decided that it now cares about what you write. Backpacking Dad gives a fantastic rundown on the problems with the change. On the other hand, Adam P Knave lets us know why it doesn’t really impact honest bloggers.
And the Big Bad Blog? We just wonder how the FTC is going to enforce something which must be judged on a case-by-case basis, when the material is written by random and often anonymous individuals, many of whom live, write, and/or host their material in locations for which the FTC has no jurisdiction.
Good luck with that.

You’ve got to love the US legal system. Apparently missing paperwork regarding the importing of orchids is a federal crime, worthy of having a SWAT team descend upon your home. They cannot tell you why, however. That is under court seal. And your legal orchids lacking sufficient paperwork are worth two years in prison — the same sentence, apparently, for causing serious bodily harm to your own child.
