	The most amusing sentence I have read this week about the recent discovery of synthetic life is from The Loom at Discover Magazine: What would Joyce have thought if someone had told him that one day that the synthesized genome of a goat pathogen would carry his words? I have to think his response would be: “A goat pathogen?”
While we’re on the subject of biology, you should know that male antelopes will lie to get sex. So don’t be trusting those antelope boys, ladies.
	A woman was fined while out walking her dog. Was it off the leash? No. Did she not pick up after it? Kind of. She did try, she just picked up the wrong poo.
A man spent over seven years trying to complete a 5,000 piece jigsaw puzzle …. which can only mean one thing. When he finally reached the end, he found that one piece was missing.

Dungeons, dragons and pornography

Yes, I am on vacation. But don’t let that stop you from finding out about the newest roleplaying blog on my reading list: Playing D&D With Porn Stars.

It’s a normal enough roleplaying blog, to be honest — the writer just happens to play with strippers and/or porn stars. I happen to play with history geeks. We seem to often encounter similar issues, which may or may not be disturbing. The blog includes both brilliant roleplaying ideas and (naturally) random porn stars dropping in to play. I will note that while my group comes up with all sorts of awesome, porn stars don’t tend to drop in. Yet.

The links, of course, are not entirely safe for work. Porn, and all. You understand.

	Harvard has received a $10 million grant to create robot bees. This is the beginning of the end. Skynet. Terminator. But with bees.
Jeremy Nicholas was prevented from entering a movie theatre because he had a laptop with him. Do they honestly think that people steal movies by recording them with a web cam?

Now here’s a speech that left the newspapers of the day unimpressed.
	Newspapers have begun to quote psychics like experts. And then wonder why people do not want to pay for their product.
