	This is why you should sell your old shit on eBay, instead of just throwing it out. You just never know.
This is an excellent rant on how people are assigned to be “experts” by the media. Reminds me that I saw a “dog expert” on BBC earlier this week. Not a dog trainer, or a veterinarian. Just a “dog expert”.
	Sometimes, spam is beautiful.

	Add something new to the list of things that provoke inclusion on “terrorist” watchlists: Arranging screenings of documentaries on environmental issues. Thank goodness. I mean, imagining having to sit beside somebody who enjoys environmental documentaries on a red eye …

	I would not be surprised if some of the readers of the Big Bad Blog immediately leave the site to check out the cost of plane tickets to New York, on discovery that there will be Doctor Who themed burlesque.
Some of the advice being given about being sensitive to the different customs of foreigners in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics is hilarious. For instance, when speaking with Mexicans, avoid mentioning their war with America in 1845-6. Why would I start a conversation with a random Mexican on that particular topic?
	Science discovers what is being called a Life of Brian effect in the human brain. Not terribly interesting, other than the name being awesome.
Apparently having sexual relations with a mannequin in a public park is not legal in West Virginia. Who knew?
	A porn star showing pubic hair causing a backlash? You wouldn’t think so, but apparently that’s what happened after Sasha Grey went nude on HBO’s Entourage
There’s been lots on baby names in our coffee this week — a trend that we’re continuing over the weekend. Your name also has an effect on what you do and where you live. Denises become dentists, Louises tend to live in St Louis. And so on.
	I’m generally not a fan of arguments that would not convince anybody. After all — the point of arguing something is to convince somebody (even if that somebody is yourself). But I can’t help but enjoying the argument that gay marriage is good because it brings us closer to a Sci Fi utopia.

	Is there anybody left out there who is actually willing to pay money to get on a Ryanair flight? If so, probably not for long, as the airline is adding standing-room-only ‘seats’ and toilet charges.
A Best Boy employee is expecting to be fired after creating an anonymous anti-iPhone animated video.
	A victory for slouchers everywhere! Good posture is bad for your back.
We present logic to confound religious homophobes.
	So there’s this guy with one eye, but two eye sockets. So he takes out his fake eye, replaces it with a “bionic camera eye”, and starts making videos.
Twilight is like soccer.
	There are plenty of excuses for getting in a car crash. The behaviour of other drivers, children or animals running in front of your car, the bottle of bourbon you drank before getting behind the wheel. But … you were being chased by a vampire? That’s new.
The Last Airbender? Roger Ebert hopes so.

	It’s strange enough that workers are striking over a prohibition on drinking alcohol while at work. It’s even stranger when you realize that these workers are truck drivers.
