Apple’s new iPad device has been a hot topic on the Big Bad Blog all week, but we have forgot to ask one important question: Will it blend?

If you are put off by aspects of the iPad, but buying into the hype, worry not! Forty-nine other tablet devices are scheduled for release this year. You will have plenty to choose from.

When searching, it is not uncommon for people to write a question as their query. Google will then show them sites that attempt to answer the question being asked.

Not surprisingly, some hits to the Big Bad Blog are the result of such questions, but those questions are rarely answered. But not today — today, dear searchers, we are looking at the questions that brought you here, and trying to answer them.

Q: How fast is a kangaroo?
A: Kangaroos can move up to 70 km/h (44 mph), over short distances, and can maintain a speed of approximately 40 km/h (25 mph) over longer distances (up to 2 km).

By comparison, over a short distance (100m), world class runners can cover the distance in under ten seconds — the equivalent of 36 km/h. As somebody who is not a world class sprinter, you can certainly be overtaken by a slow moving kangaroo.

Q: What is an iPad?
A: An iPad is a tablet computer made by Apple. The basic concept is that it takes the iPhone’s Operating System and design, and applies it to a device a bit smaller than a laptop computer screen.

Essentially, it’s an iPod touch the size of a hardcover book. The larger screen makes some applications more appealing, such as books, magazines, movies and games. If you want to know more about the iPad, I’d suggest that you check out last night’s blog entry.

Q: What is a bad blog?
A: Well, this is a Big Bad Blog. Bad blogs are aplenty. Just go to random blogs on blogger, WordPress or LiveJournal — you’ll find plenty.

Q: How far is St Lucia from Miami?
A: St Lucia is approximately 1500 miles (2400 km) from Miami.

Q: How to use FriendFeed?
A: We do not use FriendFeed ourselves, so really have no idea. They do provide a really boring video on how to use the service at their website. It looks really easy.

Q: What happens to a tumbler of water on the moon?
A: Tough question. If it’s night, then it is very cold on the moon. Water would freeze. If it’s day, it gets very hot, and it would boil. And then, of course, there are the parts of the day where it is between freezing and boiling temperatures. During that time, water would remain wet.
