This morning, the Morning Coffee would like to begin by a discussion of baby names. More particularly, disallowed baby names, as CNN guides us through the maze of naming laws that are out there.

The Associated Press claims that copying anything from one of their articles requires that you have a license bought from them. So when they copied some of Woot!’s own verbiage for their article on Woot!’s acquisition by Amazon, Woot! demanded payment in line with the AP’s guidelines. The Associated Press has since clarified their position: you can copy to your heart’s content, without permission, so long as you have previously spoken to the party in question.
And yes, we love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.
